The K5 is the latest in the line of Wilson "5 Series" racquets.
It is for better intermediate players who want the control and comfort of the K
Factor technology with a bit extra power. We think the K5 is the
best Wilson racquet ever for this level of player.
The K5 has a lot of technology to help you play better. Wilson's
Kompact Yoke and Konnector technology combine to reduce subtle
racquet flex when you hit the ball to give greater control. The K5
has Triad Construction, which means that the handle and
the head are separated by a thin strip of iso-zorb material. This
adsorbs a lot of shock and vibration. See Triad tech info.
The main difference between the Midplus and the Oversize is power.
The Oversize has more power and is for a player with a shorter stroke. The Midplus
has a little less power and is for
a more solid hitting player. The excellent control of the K
Factors is well suited to a racquet with a bit of power, your shots will
be well placed.
The head heavy Hammer weighting helps you swing through the ball
for better power.
Compare to the K Surge which is for the same level player but is head
light. Both are excellent, the lighter head is more maneuverable
for doubles and net play.
