The Babolat E-Sense Lite is a very controllable,
light weight racquet with good power, control, and comfort.
It is for the intermediate or possibly starting player. It
is also terrific for the junior who still needs a bit of power and
who is going from a 6 to a 27 inch racquet.
The E-Sense Lite has Babolat's famous "woofer" grommet systetm
to provide a nice play feel and extra comfort. It comes
pre-strung with Babolat N.Vy 16 string this is a middle quallity
synthetic gut that plays well in this racquet.
We realize that many racquet descriptions all sound the same - great
this and great that. But seriously, Babolat did a good job of
engineering a lower price racquet for the transitional player. The
question is "why is it about $100 less than the AeroPro Drive
GT". And of course there are some trade-offs. The first
is that Babolat is willing to make a lower profit on this model. Next is
that it is made of plain carbon fiber, not the tungsten reinforced high
density carbon fiber in the AeroPro Drive. It does not have the
Cortex vibration dampening system, it has a slightly lower quality grip
tape, and it comes with a decent, but lower price string. And all
this means that it sells for $100 less. And if you are looking for
good value, this racquet is one of the best new models
available. But if you want all the features and a bit more
control, consider the AeroPro Drive GT Lite for $179.
